Carpet Swimming

Kaisey became mobile almost overnight. She's not actually crawling. It's more of a mix between army crawling, and swimming. It's pretty funny to watch. She's just barely 7 months now.

A short play by mom.

Mom: "Let's do a craft project kids, but first you need to clean up your rooms."
Kids: "Our rooms are clean mom!"
Mom: "Are they REALLY clean?"
Kaleb: "Oh yes mom."

Mom then walks into all the rooms. Checks under the beds and under the dressers. They really think that we can't see under these things. Mom's are like superheros. X-ray vision kids.

Picture of what mom pulled out from under Kaleb's bed and dresser. If you look closely there is even a Chick-Fil-A nugget box. Seriously?

Flag your it!!

Kaleb has started playing flag football. He loves to play sports, but he isn't agressive at all. We've since started to bribe him. I told him he gets a dollar a flag. Now he has begun diving for the flags, and he is starting to get them. So today I decided that it might work with soccer too. So I told him a dollar a goal, and it worked as well! He got one goal, and almost scored 2 more.

Baylee has moved to Henderson, Nevada. We really miss having her here. Kali says to me in her most dramatic voice, "Mom, I really miss Baylee. I can't even remember what she looks like!"

Goodness Granny!

I was totally furious when I found out what happened to my Grams on Sunday. She already had some visitors at her condo, when a male and female came knocking on her condo door telling her they were sent to check her smoke alarm. So she nervously let them in, but like I said, she had visitors. Well they kept telling her that they needed things; a paper towel, a pen to write down some information; etc. After they left my sweet Grams felt a little uneasy, and decided to say a prayer. Shortly after this occurred, the condo office manager brought back all of her credit cards and her check book. She didn't know these were missing, because her purse was still there. Apparently these predators were on their last "mission", and had pushed their way into several other people's homes, and the condo was on alert. (It was a good thing that Grams just let them in, or she could have been hurt) The maintenance man saw these people, and chased them. As they were jumping a fence, dropped all of my Grams stuff. 4 little kids found the items, and turned them in. OF COURSE my cute little Grams totally paid them 5 bucks each for their AWESOME act of kindness.

However they didn't catch the losers that preyed on my cute Grams! So let this be a lesson to us all. Even as adults we shouldn't let strangers into the house; we should keep doors locked even when we have guests, AND more importantly: maybe I should move my purse away from my front door!!!!!!

More ball art!

Now the ball is dressed up as a pirate. Hilarious. If you look closely, you can see that Kaleb has put a bandana around the ball, and used play coins as eyes. There is a sword, a gun, and a bottle with a map all next to this "ball art"!

Draining the Pool

We finally decided that it was time to take down the pool. Trent makes everything quite the event. The neighbors came over, and everyone got into their swimming suits. Instead of hooking up the hose and and draining it into the gutter, they all climb on the edge. Someone got thrown in at one point, and then it was River Barney.

Earlier in the day, I asked the Samoans that were doing the neighbors concrete if they had a card, because we wanted to "eventually" pour concrete where the pool is. So the guy tells me that he'll just come give me a bid in 5 minutes. So I'm thinking...ok, then I know what to save for. He comes and looks over the spot (no tape measure, no nothing) says $1200, and we'll be here Monday morning. Hello!!!!

It's Happened

Oh yes, you know you're old when your kid gets braces. I remember when....(didn't you hate when your parents said that?) So it finally happened.

Lunch Number

On our way to Kaleb's soccer game this morning, I realized that he had "decorated" his soccer ball. He apparently found a permanent marker. Joy! So he preceeds to tell me that he wrote his phone number on it. 1086. I told him that wasn't our phone number. He says "Oh no, that's my lunch number!"

Kaisey is starting to scoot herself. She is almost 6 months old now. She has 2 very new teeth, and she just LOVES to scream...it's a good thing it's "usually" a happy scream.
