Memorial Weekend

Day before we left for Cyrstal Hot Springs, Kaisey got nailed by a swinging child right in the face. Scratches and a big black eye!

Camping with the Moser's. Crystal Hot Springs is only like an hour and a half from here. On the way down, we got Wendy's cuz let's face it.....who actually leaves when they say they are going to? Anywho, we had to play musical cars with our children, because our truck doesn't fit our entire family any more. So Abbi and Baylee went with the Moser's, and we took Allie. Allie and Kali are the same age, and Kali ADORES Allie! So they eat most of their food, and decide to make some half chewed concoction into the soda cup. By the time we realized they were sniffing, and spitting into this cup.....it was too late. Yup. Another one of my monkey's refunds. Luckily mom's a fast thinker, and grabbed a big Wendy's bag (which of course had all the fries in it).

We had such a fun time, and were glad to have the Moser's there!

Last night I had to do my "usual" running back and forth. Drop Kali at dance, drop Kaleb at baseball, get Kali from dance, get her to soccer, get Kaleb from baseball, get Abbi ready for dance....and drag Kaisey along. Well.......little "bump" in the road. In between picking up Kali and getting her to soccer, I got a phone call from the baseball park. Kaleb got hit with a pitch. It was hard enough that it left the threads, and it was swollen.

This was right after I picked him up. He had been icing it.

AND this is from this morning. Ouch! So...getting to the point of showing you my kids owies? I do have two children with black eyes and trauma's to their faces....and I don't beat them. I promise! Poor babies!

Tip O' The Day

Baylee got her gum stuck in Kali's hair. I would have totally flipped out....however I DO know how to "safely" remove gum from hair without cutting it off. So for my tip o' the day: peanut butter. Shmear that crap ALL over the piece of gum, wait a couple hours, and it'll work right out.

See? Good as new!

District Again?

We got a phone call the other night from the guy in charge of the District Science Fair. He went back through all the scores and there was a mistake on Abbi's. She actually took 2nd, instead of 3rd! Great job Abbi! Congratulations!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to my mom. She is the most unselfish person I know. When I was in High School, she took the bus to and from work EVERY day so that I had a vehicle to drive. Who does that? We didn't always get along when I was younger but she is one of my best friends now. She is very supportive of me, and she's always in my corner. Mom....I love you!

Happy Mother's Day to me! My kids were so excited, that they wanted to give me my gifts several days ago and I made them wait until today. Thank you for making my day so special!

Lagoon

The night before competition. What girl doesn't remember these hideous rollers from when they were little?

The super cold morning. I don't think it was quite as cold as last year, but we did come better prepared this year!

Camryn, Katie and Abbi. Abbi really wanted to bring friends this year. They took off with her daddy Brad so they could do all the "big kid" rides.

Kaleb's new thing is paper airplanes. He has been making them every chance he gets. Jonas (one of his friends) did an experiment for his 1st grade Science project, and he's been obsessed ever since. He actually tore off a piece of the white table paper during the competition to make one, and began throwing it back and forth with Abbi's daddy. Then we look back and find that he's made a new friend.

Everybody kept telling us what a cute little baby. She was VERY funny. She was so curious about people. She was waving to everybody, and she even figured out how to walk in a circle today.

I told Trent that I wanted a Diet Coke, and he came back with these massive things. They were so big, that they wouldn't even fit in the stroller, and they were only larges. MAN....no wonder American's are getting fat! LOL

The littler kids with their prizes. They couldn't go on the last ride with Abbi and her friends, so we went for cotton candy, and prizes. Don't they look super happy?

I, on the other hand, came home with a migrane. I think this happened last year too! Why does Lagoon stress me out so bad?

Good News/Bad News

I received fantastic news yesterday. The buyers of our house are going to let us out of the contract. While I want to believe it was out of the goodness of their hearts, I believe that gentle persuasion (from a lawyer) and $ had more to do with it. But I don't really care at this point. We get to stay. They are seeking some damages, and I am more than willing to give them what is fair. I do feel REALLY bad for this entire mess.

So neighbors.....I don't know for you if it qualifies as good news or bad news. But the news is......we are here to stay. FOREVER!

Private Parts

Private parts? Yeah that's right. You heard me. This blog is one of the private parts of my life. I didn't mind sharing it, until I realized that there are "haters" out there. I am going through some real personal things right now...and quite frankly, I don't want the "haters" to have access to my life.

So, what I need is for those friendlies that want to still be a ♫ Part of my world ♪ , leave me your email address in the comments. For you "haters", why you gotta ruin everything?

Last Week In A Nutshell

Abbi had been working REALLY hard on her Science Fair project for several weeks. The experiment was basically to find out how much water plants needed to grow. She took 1st place, and is off to District this week.

Then Abbi and I headed of to St. George for her dance competition. We were roughly Cedar City, when I got my very first speeding ticket. With everything that I'm going through right now, I cried my eyes out. SHE showed me no mercy. Once we arrived in St. George, I made a phone call that I had been putting off for an entire week. I called the buyers of my house to plead my case. SHE showed me no mercy either. Seeing as though I think they found my blog, I won't go into further detail. (Hence....be watching for the next post I make.)

Here are the girls after performance. Abbi, Lexy and Addison. The team took 1st and 3rd places. They did such a good job!

On our way home, we had to stop in Beaver for Abbi's county report. She has chosen to do the Travel Brochure. (For all of you who haven't had the pleasure of this yet....) It's not JUST pictures of the important places....it's pictures with child in it. We did stop at Cove Fort. That was really pretty cool. The missionaries give you a tour of it. We were lucky that they were open even though it was Sunday.

When we got home, Kaisey was just getting up from a nap. She practically dove for me, and once I had her in my arms, she laid a big sloppy kiss on me. This is the first time that I have left her overnight. It was very hard for me.

Kaisey however continued to be absolutely adorable. While she was eating her dinner, she kept pulling the shakey face? I don't know how to describe it. Every kid does it. Where they clench up their fists and tighten their face and kinda shake? Here's a picture of it.
