Sea World

I L-O-V-E Sea World! We went straight to the Polar Bear exhibit. It was SUPER cool! The Polar Bears decided to go for a swim, and chase the fish. He barely missed the fish. It was so cool to watch the bear swim. He was extremely graceful. Polar Bears have ALWAYS been my favorite animal.

Getting soaked on the Shipwreck Rapids.

Holding the starfish.

Feeding the dolphins.
Feeding the seals.
The Seal/Sea Lion show.
Shamu
If you look closely at this picture, you can see the trainer (the black smudge) at the top. He was SUPER high!

This picture is self explanatory!

Sea World rocked! We were just about finished with our day and guess what? YUP! Kaisey refunded all over herself...AND Trent. Come on! Really?

Newport Beach

The boys picked up the rentals last night. This is Shane (neighbor/best friends) looking sexy by his what? Hummer! ................................Here is Trent looking sexy by our Minivan. Dude...you gotta stop one-upping us! LOL

As we were walking to the beach, there were tons of birds. I told the kids not to get too close to the big bird. (I was mainly talking to Kaleb. I could see what he wanted to do!) Kali was so nervous. I'm not sure what happened, but the birds all kinda flew.....and Kali started screaming bloody murder, and running for cover. It was so dang funny! So here's the picture I took right after the dreaded bird incident. You can still see Trent laughing, and you can totally see the fear on Kali's face!
Newport Beach was SO pretty! The weather was excellent..and the water was C-H-I-L-L-Y! However that didn't stop the kids.

Kali finally warmed up to the little birds, and Kaisey was crawling after them. We started feeding them via air.

What's a trip without someone refunding?

What do I mean by refunding? Read on.
We did this same California trip 2 years ago. Let's start with the drama of 2007.

Kalyssa was sick, so before we actually left, I took her in to see the Instacare doctor. I told the doctor that she had Croup. He told me that she didn't. Halfway through the flight, Kali was struggling to breathe. We had to get oxygen on her. We spent 6 hours total in the emergency room while she was treated for...what? Oh yeah, Croup.

The rest of the trip went off without a hitch....except for the last day. During the drive to the Wild Kingdom, Abbi was in the back seat doing her reading and she got sick. She refunded (my word for throwing up) all over the back seat of the car. The funny part, was that she tried to catch it in her hands. So imagine 2 tiny 7 year old hands cupped by her mouth.....so it went (I'm laughing as I'm writing this) up on the top of her head. Seriously! It was disgusting, but it was hilarious.

Anywho, moving on to 2009....

Kaisey was a little pissed when we strapped her in her car seat (in Baylee's seat) for the flight. But she did well. We came in for the landing, and we are preparing to exit the plane. All of the sudden Kali starts crying LOUDLY, "I threw up!" I look down and she sure did. We grabbed the puke bag, and she filled er up. For HELLS sake!

So....what would a trip to California be like withOUT refunding?? We may NEVER know!

Who's the bad guy?

Who IS the bad guy you ask? You can decide.

We have been planning our upcoming trip to Disneyland for over a year now. We got the OK from all parties involved before we booked the flight. Well as it turns out now, Baylee won't be going with us because she's having trouble in school....and we made Nichole be the "bad guy". How on earth did we make you the bad guy? (Especially since we're pretty sure with your season pass to Disneyland, that you are just gonna take her when she goes off track.)

It's not like we uprooted Baylee, moved to Vegas, home-schooled her, then put her back into school on a track that would not be off during our vacation time planned a year ago.

I am not the bad guy....oh wait...I AM to the rest of the kids.... they were SUPER upset when I gave them the news. And as for me....well I'm biting my tongue as best as I can because after all WWJD? (Jesus would let her come with us. Really.)

GNO

I went on a GNO with some of my girls! We had a great time! I went to High School with Patrice and Cindy! We had a BLAST!! Laughing, and giggling! It's funny how time doesn't really change good friends!!

This is my one of my girls from beauty school. We were some serious trouble back then!!!

Outdoor fun!

We thought this was pretty cute! Turn on your sound!

Surprise!!!

This is the kids finding out that we are going to Disneyland next week! We are so excited! We weren't going to tell them until the day we went, but Baylee isn't going to be able to spend the entire time with us, so we wanted to give her the good news, and let her mom give her that bad news.

Happy 2009!

We spent New Years Eve, at the Garrison's. The Anderson's came as well. We had fondue galore! We cooked our own meat and veggie's on one fondue pot, another had cheese, and we had the chocolate fountain going as well! YUM! We played some really fun games. What a great way to ring in the New Year!

Finger Foods

Kaisey was cracking me up when I gave her finger foods for the first time yesterday. She doesn't like wet and slimey. She'd go to grab it, and then pull her fingers away, and look really puzzled, then do it again. It was SO funny.

More sleepovers! That's all these cute 10 year olds want to do. Kali keeps asking me when she can have a sleepover with her friends.

Sunday

I am very saddened to hear that my neighbor's cancer has come back. I pray to know what they are in need of. Such a good family!

After learning of this, I was filled with emotion when I looked outside to see the Young Men, and their leaders....AND THEN SOME...outside shoveling walks for people in our area. (Dustin has some serious skills on that bobcat!) I feel truly blessed to have my health, and my families health, and to have such incredible neighbors, and an incredible ward family.
